Thank you to everyone who attended the premiere of THE BOY WITH THE SUN IN HIS EYES on June 9th as part of the 2009 NewFest! A packed house and a Q & A at midnight! After his best friend Kevin commits suicide, John decides his life needs a change and he spontaneously heads off to Europe to follow Kevin's muse Solange, a minor pop music diva and eccentric B-movie actress. As the odd pair become embroiled in a world of sex, drugs, and murder the boundaries of trust start to wear thin and John begins to wonder whether Solange is the victim of a bizarre lifestyle or its mastermind. Shot on location in Europe and featuring a killer soundtrack, Todd Verow's most recent film is an homage to 80's cinema and a fun installment in the prolific director's portfolio.

Republicans are bailing on McCain/Palin- the Right Wing tea leaves are spelling disaster for their candidate. The 8 years of destruction wreaked by the Bush Admin is culminating in an all-out meltdown of the global economy. Americans voting for Barack see Obama not only as an answer to the financial concerns of the middle class but also as a way to get the USA back on its feet and moving in the right direction.

People naturally want to feel good again about their country. Americans want to be able to provide for their families. Americans want a president at least as intelligent as they are.

This kind of behavior is not mainstream. You can't do stuff like this anymore in a civilized, industrial nation. There's no excuse. It's racism. It's ugly. And it's finally started to really die off.

Hello there- just a short note to let you know that I find Michael Barone's Thugocracy article highly offensive.

It is hysterical that the Right believes that Freedom of Speech means they can just lie and lie and lie in the hopes that repetition will make people believe it's the truth. Sorry- we've seen that story before- (even if it is coming out next weekend starring Josh Brolin.) And judging by the current tracking polls, most Americans are sick of that rhetoric too.

Your editors should be screening out ugly, hardly subtle, racially tinged hate instead of publishing it. Thug? Come on. That's weak
